"WHERE ARE THEY?"
The Search for Str. Edmund Fitzgerald Survivors in
Art & Video
This detailed painting has it all according to the
way Capt. Donald Erickson of the Str. William Clay Ford describes the search
site in the future Crewmember video, "Where Are They? The Untold Story
by Capt. Donald Erickson." Capt. Erickson explains the way it really
was that fateful night when the Ford and Str. Arthur M. Anderson sailed side
by side one-half mile apart in the search for the missing Str. Edmund
Fitzgerald crew. While the Coast Guard dropped flares, the Anderson and Ford
maintained a careful watch over stormy seas for evidence of wreckage and
survivors.
